“Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

The Work

Hello, I’m Tom. Im pursuing a Master of Science in counseling psychology at the University of Baltimore. I enjoy working with people to form a trusting environment that enables the development of a strong therapeutic relationship. I have experience working with people of all ages, especially adults, young adults and adolescents. I have worked with those who have been experiencing anxiety, depression and trauma. I also have experience working with couples. My main theoretical foundations lie in person-centered approaches and in various waves of CBT, especially in acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness-based practices. I would further describe my work as interpersonal, with an awareness of the way in which many mental health struggles can play out in relationships. I partner with my clients to develop personalized therapeutic plans tailored to their goals and needs. My aim is to foster a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves openly. I am committed to supporting clients on their journey toward meaningful growth and positive change in a safe and nurturing space.
