Intern at BACC
BACC offers a robust clinical experience for students and takes pride in being able to support up-and-coming psychotherapists on their journey to becoming licensed providers.
To intern at BACC, in addition to school requirements, you must participate in biweekly group supervision, dedicate at least three hours of your weekly practicum hours to additional research and outside readings, and assist with Equine Assisted Psychotherapy services. All interns are required to dedicate at least two semesters at BACC.
The benefit of working with interns:
Pre-licensed staff (Masters Level Interns) are currently training and working towards their degrees. Here are some benefits of working with a Masters Level Intern:
- Interns are not credentialed with insurance panels and can offer services at a reduced rate or pro bono. Therapy services with a fully licensed clinician start at $160 for a clinical hour. Sliding scale fee services with a pre-licensed psychotherapist can range from $50+.
- Most of our providers operate from a lengthy waitlist. Interns keep small caseloads to dedicate more time to each case and have quicker availability.
- Pre-licensed psychotherapists receive the most up-to-date research-based education and are required to dedicate hours each week of their practicum to additional research and peer review.
- Pre-licensed psychotherapists are closely supervised by a licensed clinician and receive extensive training between their field experience and support at their school.
