"Therapy is about understanding the self that you are. But part of getting to know yourself is to unknow yourself— to let go of the limiting stories you’ve told yourself about who you are so that you aren’t trapped by them, so you can live your life and not the story you’ve been telling yourself about your life."

The Work
- I am Maeve! I am currently working towards completing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Johns Hopkins University. Since entering the field, I have worked mostly with children and adolescents dealing with a myriad of mental health struggles. I engage in an eclectic therapeutic approach, pulling from theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions-focused Therapy, and Person-Centered approaches. I aspire to use theoretic frame works and techniques that I have gathered throughout my training that are most beneficial to my client’s specific concerns.
- I place a lot of emphasis on the therapeutic relationship between the client and the therapist. Fostering trust, safety, and growth in this relationship is often the foundation to creating meaningful and lasting change in the therapeutic setting. I work to help clients become the best version of themselves and assist them in reaching their potential.
