The Work

I am currently pursuing my Masters in Clinical Social Work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I am passionate about working with adolescents and young adults, and my clinical experience so far has been working with this population.  I believe that the therapy session should be a collaborative approach, and that the client is the expert in their own life. I am an affirming partner in your journey to discovering, accepting and loving your authentic self.  I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions-focused therapy, trauma-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness and working through a non-oppressive lens. I also take an anthropological approach to therapy, helping the client to understand how their own personal human experience relates to the larger society and context that they live in to help better discern the cause of, and remedies for, their suffering. As I continue in school I am hoping to learn more about ecotherapy/nature therapy. I encourage spending time in nature and love to brainstorm with and support clients in ways to connect to their source of spirituality to boost growth and healing.
