Internship Expectations at BACC
BACC internships go beyond standard school requirements. Interns commit to:
A minimum requirement of 2+ semesters.
A year of field experiences is required and BACC only accepts advanced standing students into the program.
Interns are required to be onsite for half their hours.
Attending biweekly group supervision sessions for in-depth clinical insights.
- Dedicating at least five weekly hours to research and outside readings to enhance practicum learning.
- Engaging actively in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy services, working directly with patients and animals.
- Leading a group session at our farm as part of their training, honing facilitation and therapeutic skills.
- Challenging systems of oppression and promoting social justice, supporting BACC’s commitment to equity in mental health care.
