“This process of the good life is not, I am convinced, a life for the faint-fainthearted. It involves the stretching and growing of becoming more and more of one's potentialities. It involves the courage to be.”
-Carl Rogers

The Work

Hello! I am Amelia, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with nearly ten years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in an array of settings, most recently as the L&D/Mother Baby Unit social worker for a local hospital.

At the heart of my practice is a deep belief in the resilience of the human spirit. I specialize in working with individuals navigating life transitions (especially those associated with the perinatal period), trauma, and identity exploration. My broad range of professional experience has allowed me the unique honor of supporting individuals and families in some of their highest highs and lowest lows of their lives and I never take for granted what a gift it is to sit alongside people experiencing real, raw emotion. I have a particular passion for supporting BIPOC, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those facing the emotional weight of intergenerational and/or systemic stress.

My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity and deep respect for all people. I integrate evidence-based modalities including tenets of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions, while drawing from humanistic and trauma-informed frameworks. I aim to create a space that feels safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental—where clients can slow down, reflect, and move toward meaningful change.
