SHE/HER
Hi, I’m Ziqi (Winnie) Wang, a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern. My therapeutic approach is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy. I use CBT to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while incorporating psychodynamic perspectives to gently explore how past experiences and relationships may shape the ways we think, feel, and relate to others today. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, build practical skills, and find meaningful ways to move forward.
During my practicum, I co-facilitated therapy sessions with clinicians and shadowed psychologists during assessment sessions. I also have two years of experience supporting counselors in hospital and outpatient settings, where I worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional distress.
Maybe you’ve been holding a lot together, and you’re ready for a space where you don’t have to. Therapy doesn’t require you to have all the answers or even know exactly where to begin. It is a space where you can slow down, talk openly about whatever is on your mind, and feel truly heard and accepted without judgment. I’d be happy to walk alongside you at your own pace, whether you’re working through something difficult or simply hoping to understand yourself a little better. I hope to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative space where you can feel comfortable showing up as you are. Remember, you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help guide you through the journey.
