Marie Pessagno

A native of Annapolis, Marie has a deep-seated connection to the area where she is now raising her two daughters and two beloved dogs. Her commitment to the local community is the foundation of her practice, driving her to provide compassionate, high-quality mental health support to her neighbors and their families.

Marie’s academic journey began at UMBC, where she was a Newcombe Scholar and double-majored in Social Work and Gender and Women’s Studies. This interdisciplinary background provided her with a unique lens through which to view social justice and individual identity. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, specializing in Child Welfare and Familial Conflict.

With a focus on versatility and evidence-based results, Marie works with clients aged 8 and older, including children, adolescents, and adults. She has a particular emphasis on treating co-occurring disorders and is highly adaptable to the unique needs of each developmental stage.
