Hello, my name is Jessica. I am currently a Psychotherapist Intern and completing my master’s degree in counseling at the University of Baltimore. I have 4 years of experience in the health sciences field. I have worked with various populations, and I enjoy seeing a diverse group of patients. I am currently open to working with children and adults. I have a particular interest in trauma and anxiety disorders. I follow an integrative approach when conducting therapy, but I frequently use person-centered, mindfulness, and internal family system approaches.
My number one goal is to make sure my patient feels safe and comfortable in the therapy room. I strive to create an atmosphere of acceptance, so clients can freely express themselves. I make efforts to display empathy, nonjudgment, and unconditional positive
regard in every session. I promote collaboration and will work together with my patient instead of giving them direct guidance or instructions. It brings me great joy and gratitude to assist my clients in reaching their full potential for health and wellness.
The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of those depths. – Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
