Empowering growth and healing

At Bay Area Counseling & Consulting (BAAC) in Severna Park, we believe healing happens when people feel seen, supported, and safe. Founded by Courtney Jones, a Board-Certified Supervisor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, our practice helps children, preteens, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges.

We are passionate about creating space for people to heal from complex trauma, substance use issues, and dual diagnoses. We understand how past experiences can shape our present lives – and help clients uncover strength, resilience, and hope along the way.

One of the unique approaches offered at BACC is Animal Assisted Psychotherapy (AAP) – an experiential form of therapy that partners with animals during the healing process. AAP focuses on the powerful attachment bond that forms between humans and animals, offering both psychological and physiological benefits that support recovery.

At BAAC, our team is trained in trauma-informed care and guided by the values of inclusivity, cultural awareness, and respect. We’re committed to breaking down the stigma around mental health and building a community where every person feels welcome and valued.

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your family, we’re here to walk beside you – one step at a time.
